Guest thekevster Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 this should be the last of my noob cooking questions for a while. first off, how do you enable a certain theme as default? say i wanted the classic blue theme to be automatically enabled on first boot, how would i go about doing that? and will it work for themes cooked in as OEM packages. also, how do you cook in mapping hardware keys. i want to set main menu press as <OK/Close> and Camera hold as <Input Panel> whenever the ROM first boots, without having to do it manually every time. thanks in advance! :(

In other words replace the classicblue graphics with yours. There is however, a reg setting for this but I don't remember it. For the hard button these are the reg keys you are interested in. The can be found in OEM_Lang_xxxx in the xxxxxxxx.rgu file [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys\40C4] "Default"="\"\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Media\\Camera.lnk\"" "ResetCmd"="\"\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Media\\Camera.lnk\"" "Flags"=dword:00000000 "Icon"="\\windows\\ButtonIconRes.dll, 2" "Name"="Camera hold" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys\40C3] "Default"="" "Flags"=dword:0000000c "BtnWnd"=dword:00000000 "WndCls"="" "ResetCmd"="\"\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Photo Slides.lnk\"" "Icon"="\\windows\\ButtonIconRes.dll, 2" "Name"="Camera" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys\40C2] "Default"="" "Flags"=dword:0000000a "WndCls"="" "BtnWnd"=dword:00000000 "ResetCmd"="\"\\Windows\\Voice Command.lnk\"" "Icon"="\\windows\\ButtonIconRes.dll, 1" "Name"="Main Menu hold" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys\40C1] "Flags"=dword:00000004 "BtnWnd"=dword:00000000 "WndCls"="" "Default"="" "ResetCmd"="\"\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Main Menu.lnk\"" "Icon"="\\windows\\ButtonIconRes.dll, 1" "Name"="Main Menu" Edited March 3, 2010 by NilsE
Guest thekevster Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 thanks! i had a feeling they were going to be in the rgu file :( whenever i cook, it doesnt seem to set any particular theme as default. this is a screenie of my base build on first boot and themes werent removed in the cooking process. it might be the kitchen itself though, im using the visual version of oskitchen posted by smaury i want to be able to have classicblue enabled so i can overwrite classicblue files with the gchris theme files.

This is classicblue. Look in the SYS in base_dpi for the classic blue stuff. If you want a specific theme you can alter it or once a theme is set copy the reg settings and import to your personal reg settings in the OEM folder to make it pop on first boot. (You'll need that theme cooked in to work...)

(classicblue, vera wang red, r&r black, etc.) i want to copy the files from classicblue over to the dpi folder mentioned earlier so that classicblue is running on first boot on my base ROMS.
