Guest lucky Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Hiya My previous phone a t68 had an alarm clock that you could select which days to go off at what time. I always wished it had multiple alarm times also. Can someone please program a similar utility for the SPV? This would be excellent! Thanks Lucky
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Apart from the normal alarm clock why not use the calender reminders?
Guest b1uepower Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 But there one other problem with the alarm and the calender reminders they are not very LOUD! on my old nokia 6210 is much louder then my spv :?
Guest madu Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 You can set specific tone (alarm'ish) and set it to LOUD in sounds/profiles - but then each reminder would make you jump off your seat and scare everyone on the tube/bus - he he ;) I was thinking that an indication in status bar would be appropriate, but sure it's been mentioned before somewhere in the Wishlist area...
Guest dma Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 It would be nice to have an icon on the home screen to know that the alarm is set, is this included in the update ?
Guest benjymous Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 This is the sollution I'm using - I have the daily alarm set at 7 am to wake me up, and a reminder set at 8 am on every week day (set to reaccur) The only problem is that it means the callender plugin always displays "wake up" as my next appointment, and outlook on my computer will always pop up a "missed appointment - wake up" message whenever I start it in the evening when I get home. I miss the alarm facility of my Psion 5 (which is now dead) - that had multiple alarms, and you could increase the snooze in 5 minute intervals (i.e. hit snooze 3 times to not be bothered for 15 minutes) It was also smart enough to let you set alarms on weekdays, or just a specific day of the week, and you could define an alarm to be once-only (handy if you don't want to enter an appointment) Finally it had an "alarms silent for" option which you could use to deactivate all alarms for a few days (perfect for when you're on holiday and don't want to have your lie in disturbed in the morning)
