Guest setomoto Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 (edited) i bought my liquid for a month and it began to show its reliability issue that acer is known for. the phone keeps saying i removed my sd card every time i boot up my phone and it is unable to read the card even when i had kept the phone in stock rom. i know it's not the issue of the memory card cuz i inserted 2 brand new ones to see if it were the memory card's problem. i brought it to the customer service centre and told them about it, they kept my phone for a month, telling me that the technician had to wait for the parts to be fixed. i think i had called them enough times during the month that they just didn't bother to fix it and returned to me after a factory reset (says on the form). so ok, they made me wait for a month to do something that i could've done myself. got royally pissed at that place. but at least the phone was ok, for a week. the same damn problem showed up again and now i know i can't go back to the service centre anymore because they are just going to do the same bs again. does anyone here encounter a similar problem like me or am i just the unlucky one to get such an annoyingly defective phone? Guest Quipeace Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 Did you install any other applications when the problem showed again? Did you do another reset yourself? If they really only did a factory reset, that should fix the problem agian right?
Guest boobix Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 This is a modding forum, not the Acer Warranty Service :(
Guest MrVanes Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 I had a faulty Liquid as well and had it returned to expansys for a month, only to get it back unrepaired. After that I demanded a new device because by Dutch law they are obliged to make sure I have a fully functioning device within a reasonable amount of time. So my advice: demand a new Liquid, you are entitled to it, after having given them the opportunity to repair.
Guest Borkata Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 My advice is to try again to send to repair and tell them the issue reoccurred. If they do same procedure you can try to do some modding, because I think there can be something wrong with the driver in your kernel for the sdcard. So the solution is to try kernel from disc0 maybe and see what will happen.
