Does anyone know how to increase the timeout with the acer downlod tool?

Hi there,

just a quick question,

When the Acer Download tool goes into the flashboot part of its overall flash,

it spawns a process of FLASHBOOT.EXE for each part of the flashboot flash (boot, system, recovery..etc)

problem is, my PC at work only has USB 1.1, and trying to flash with this speed USB spec (because its so slow) the Acer Download tool times out during the flashboot process, because it takes so long and thinks its failed (it actually flashes fine).

my question is, does anyone know how (if you can) to increase the timeout setting so it waits longer during this process??

Ive tried the timeout setting but it seems to do nothing...

its no biggie.... I can flash the phone when I get home :(

just means I can't play with it at work lol

not sure, but a new usb2 pci card or even pcmcia card if your using an old laptop wont set you back much at all. dealextreme.com have some cheap although they are quite slow on shipping.

nah I can't be bothered adding stuff to the work pc's just for one thing :(

I'm quitting in 2 days anyway :(
