Guest kersey Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 (edited) Hi, Am due to upgrade my phone at the end of this month so decided to contact Orange to see if they are going to be stocking the HTC Desire or Sony Ericsson X10. I was under the impression that Orange were going to stock the Desire but have had a voicemail from a Customer Services rep that they are NOT stocking either of the above :( Guess I'll be cancelling my contract and signing up for a new one via a third party vendor (Phones 4 u etc) who'll stock the phone on Orange :( Edited March 4, 2010 by kersey

Guest kersey Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 (edited) The X1 has just been added to the 'coming soon' phones on the Orange website. They are stocking both the black and white version...although I'm sure they'll ruin it with their own branding. Not sure whether to go for Vodafone, Orange or unbranded from a third party?? Have always been on the Orange network...so don't know whether it's better the devil you know or try Vodafone...any opinions Edited March 17, 2010 by kersey
Guest pjhoughton1976 Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 I have been following the development of the x10 for a while and have been checking in with Orange on a regular basis. After being told by 2 agents early on last week that it wasn't on their roadmap anymore, I managed to get through to an agent on Friday 19th. The agent said that she'd just got out of a meeting in which they gotten a hands on demo of the x10. She then went onto say that it was looking to be released within the first week of April. Now that it's on the website i'm sure the actual release will not be too far away!
Guest Fat Freddys Cat Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 Hi there I've been thinking the same thing. I noticed that T-Mobile's plans were varied, and work out cheaper, than the £35 a month for 24 months that Orange have announced. I just spoke to Orange - they said that they are expecting the phone mid-April but couldn't tell me any more than that. I've pre-ordered mine via a third party (mobiles.co.uk) as I really don't want Orange to ruin the phone with their software and meddling, have gone for an 18 month contract, 1200 mins, unlimited text and 500mb internet for £35 a month, the only downside the phone is costing £69.99 and I'll have a new number (which is sometimes good to get rid of those people that managed to get your number :P ) Really looking forward to the phone no matter what bad word it's receiving on the internet for not having multi-touch etc...have heard stock is expected on Good Friday (2nd April) by mobiles.co.uk :( Edited March 30, 2010 by kersey
