Mobile Webpages with wrong formatting - help needed :)

Hi,

While we are waiting for Paul's MCR4.0, I decided to give Villain's 3.2 a spin. It seems good, but I have a little issue viewing some mobile webpages.

Some are fine, show perfect, other just will not do it right.

I am not sure if this is a Villian 3.2 issue, or just a settings adjustment I need, but when I visit certain mobile websites, typically newspapers, I only get text and not the usual images and links to stories. I am sure this is NOT the pages (several do not read correct and have the same problem). Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Examples of pages not showing correct:

m.eb.dk

m.bt.dk

m.jp.dk

m.pol.dk

Working and showing correctly:

m.nordvestnyt.dk

mobile.fmylife.com

The pages all show fine on my old Nokia N85.

Any suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kingkeld.

I had a similar problem; it turned out that I had turned off the "Mobile View"-option in the browser settings. This caused one webpage to go in to a constant load-loop, and another to not show pictures. I imagine it is because they're coded stupidly, and try to force you into a mobile version regardless of browser flags.

If that doesn't help, I'm pretty much useless.

I already have "Mobile view" on. Thanks for your advice though. Definitely worth an extra check.

I tried the pages you didn't get images from, and can confirm they work just fine on MCR 3.1 - so maybe it's something to do with the ROM, then?

I figure the same. I really appreciate you testing the webpages. Thanks.

I have now moved back into my comfort zone on MCR3.2 and will patiently wait for a better 2.1 made specifically for the Hero. Played around with Villain, and I don't think there is anything in 2.1 I can not live without for another month or two... too many quirks with the new ROMS...
