Home++. Launcher2 replacement

As some of you may know, I find the new Home (Launcher2) app for Android 2.1 not smooth enough when flinging screens...

I have downloaded code and starting to dive in in order to try to make it smoother.

But hopefully I found an application that already does it. And on plus, it adds very nice features.

Just give a try. Its called Home++

a+

Im using this at the moment, its fast probably because it doesnt use live wallpaper, which is a shame because I really like the NRU wallpaper.

I particularly like the efficient use of space at the bottom of the screen. I will probably switch if I can find a nice dock for the bottom of the screen that works with the new sense notification bar morphs.

I really like Home++ and am quite happy with it. Love the space saving bar at the bottom.

However, it does seem like it's been a while since the last update so I just hope the project hasn't been abandoned... But it's free and already works really well, so who am I to complain <_<

HelixLauncher is a newcomer that I rather like. Gives you shortcuts, instead of that horribly workflow that Home++ promotes from launcher to app.

Yeah it's nice with the shortcuts, but it doesn't feel as "snappy" as Home++ imo, dunno if that's just due to all the crap I have on my phone though <_<

It doesn't let you hide the task bar like Home++ either.
