Rooting T Mobile Uk Hero

Hi Guys/Girls,

Im trying to find a good guide on rooting my Hero which is on the t mobile UK 2.73.110.26 rom. Ive read various threads from the sticky and other forums and am getting confused. Some say I need to downgrade some say I dont. Can anyone point me to a guide or explain what I need to do to gain root access.

You need to goldcard, then downgrade, just rooted my t mobile hero. Check out unlockr

You need to do the Goldcard Method to downgrade and root your phone, that is the only way to root your phone Go here for the Goldcard Method :-

Thank for the replies guys. I will try this tonight and report back.

Also once ive done this method will i have to flash a new rom? Im guessing I will have downgraded to a different rom. I really wanted to stay on this 2.73 rom.
