Guest kiladi Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) hi, i am new to android from using a iphone 3g, a have rooted the nexus1 and put a modoco alpha 12 rom on it but i want to update the ere27 to ere36b radio as i heard it gives better performance, can some one help on how to do this if it is possible, not sure if i had to do this first or can i flash update on top of rom thank u in advance Edited March 9, 2010 by kiladi

I thought the radio was just flashed as a zip seperately from a rom, I always update to the latest radio when one is released regardless of the rom I'm running.

I thought the radio was just flashed as a zip seperately from a rom, I always update to the latest radio when one is released regardless of the rom I'm running. indeed. i was pretty tired at that time, forget what i said <_< squirreleater is right. flash the radio, its the same as epe54b and found as an update.zip in the stock-roms thread. but take care when flashing radio!

(which i wanted) now if i change rom to alpha 12 os other desire roms will my radio change back to ere27 or will it remain the same thanks Edited March 10, 2010 by kiladi

Guest xkonni Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 hello again sorry to bother you, i got problems again as i flashed modoco's alpha 14 now , and its has gone back to ere27 from ere36b which i had on prev rom there is no radio included in the desire roms. if think you're referring to the string in 'settings -> about phone' but that doesnt mean anything, the desire rom is not based on just one version, its basics is ERD79 i think, but paul merged almost all noticable changes from those updates in. if you are on alpha14, thats the newest version. dont get mixed up by all those updates <_<
