Guest kouray Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Hi, sorry for my bad english. This is a question for application developers particularly. I don't really know where to post that, but this forum must be appropriate 'cause I think my issue might be specific to the Eris Leak, not Android 2.1. Apparently, when I add a WebView to my apps and try to run it on my Hero (same issue on both VillainROM 3.2 and beHero 1.2.6), I get a "Web page not avaible". When I launch the same application from emulator (cupcake) and on a friend's phone (donut), the page loads. I think I have right persmissions : <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET"></uses-permission> If anyone have any information about that... Thanks in advance <_<

Thanks in advance <_< There is nothing wrong with your code. The webview issue seems to be common to all Eris based roms. I have the problem in multiple Apps that were working ok on MCR. You can try Wapedia for example. I hope someone is gonna be able to find a fix (crossing fingers)
Guest rico2k_uk Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 Agreed.. I noticed this too on some apps (not all tho!). Thought it may have been a glitch with Dolphin, but stock has same issues. Its a PITA, but i guess when the official hero rom gets released that it should be fixed.
Guest kouray Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 Ok thanks a lot guys, I'm gonna go back to 1.5 until the final release <_<

Thanks in advance :) I had the Same Problem until I upgraded to the latest version of the Leaked ROM. Although I have the Non-Rooted version, which I would not recommend. I would Upgrade to a ROM ROOTED based on the latest LEAK. That should fix your Apps not loading pages from their internal browsers.
