Well I did, but that's something you can't change unless you do the ROM from the scratch and base it on EPE54B.

And no need to be offensive and write in big fonts...

So are you saying there is no difference if you have ere27 or ere54b as long as you add the radio update in the kitchen?

I think Paul already took the EPE54B RIL stuff (which are the biggest changes in the newest leaked roms) to the newest Alpha 14 and MCR1.9.

I'm not an expert in these things, so someone with more knowlege can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that it's not a big thing if the Desire rom is ERE27 based, because the RIL changes from EPE54B have been inserted to the roms.

Just flash the older one from Amon_Ra recovery

Sorry guys I am also new to this, but ive been wanting to upgrade the radio as well but a bit nervous. If I understand this correctly

1. Download the radio zip

2. Put the zip file in root of sd card (do i change name to update.zip or leave as is)

3. boot into recovery

4. with Amon_Ra recovery just flash zip from sd card

Please any help will be appreciated dont want to ruin my phone

take your time, make sure the battery has a good amount of capacity left, and it may reboot and do some more stuff. let it finish.

do not pull the battery, whatever happens <_<

What does the radio update actually Do?

Ermmm: it should be for the network (mobile services), it could improve your network stability and speed online, or degrade depending..

thanks guys for your help i finally convinced my self to flash new radio was a bit nervous since everyone says "BE CAREFUL IT CAN BRICK YOUR PHONE" but i am glad i did actually been a lot better now. Thanks again
