tether in 2.1

One thing i noticed about the 2.1 software is that there is no longer the option to share your internet connection via the USB cable (tethering, basically)

Is there still a way to do this? Or is it something that cannot be done anymore?

I use Wireless Tether which is available in the Market. It sets up a wireless access point so you can connect to it if your computer has wifi.

I'm not sure if this is useful for you if you need to use the USB cable.

Wireless tether is good, but you need root access and the power drain is considerable (wireless and mobile internet on at the same time.

Is there another app that can give you tethering via the USB cable?

It's a shame that 2.1 left this out, since it was so simple before ;_;

I'm sure the actual 2.1 release will have USB teathering in it.

i think those droid eris don't have that option that is why in is not avaivable in the port. and that is the reason i don't use those 2.1 now.. actual hero 2.1 should have it.

it works well on BeHero V 1.3.1 based on HTC Legend leak
