Guest subhramani Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 I have noticed that in Cupcake, GPS works pretty badly for me. Initially I thought since I live in a place where nothing is ever organized, GPS would even get confused about where the hell the phone is. The time I started thinking straight was when it shows me exactly where I am, when I started using Eclair. Any idea why this happens with cupcake? With cupcake, it tell me 'Accurate to 2500 meters' or something like that and tells me I am some 2 streets away.
Guest kendon Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 2.5km accuracy sounds like network location. gps should be <50m, depending on signal strength.
Guest subhramani Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 Now its working for me <_< I have NO idea how and why it wasnt working for me all this while.
Guest Dr. dre Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 Now its working for me <_< I have NO idea how and why it wasnt working for me all this while. Android 2.1 has the latest version of Google Maps, I think because of which it is accurate and the maps are updated. The version of Google Maps in cupcake is old and the maps aren't updated So... I have the same problem, But I mostly use Maps when traveling to far places, So at that time it help me real fine.
Guest subhramani Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 I lost my way when I went to Goa. My 'Hero' saved the day <_<
