Pictures in pulse email client

This may seem like a daft question. I have been using my pulse since Christmas and I love it <_< . I have updated my phone to the custom T mobile rom 1.8 beta. I have found two problems though that I was wondering if you could help with. The first is that I am using the T mobile pop3 email client to read my Pipex emails but non of the emails show pictures which makes it a bit useless for a lot of them since they are html based. I was hoping that it is just a setting I missed.

The second is that in the last week or so whenever I try to use the calender it force closes. I may have to just reinstall the rom but I would prefer to fix it if possible.

Any help would be appreciated. This has been bugging for a while.
