Heres a theme of the HTC Desire.

It changes the Statusbar and the Drawer and makes the Buttons green. So as the Real HTC Desire it has.

Everybody knows it, everybody likes it <_<

Installation and Downloads

At first I have to say something new!

The new Metamorph seems to be a bit unstable by applying themes with coloured text in the statusbars. Some of you have reported problems while applying it. So I have decided to make the theme applying in a few little steps.

This is a Metamorph Theme. You have to install Metamorph (or better: Metamorph Pro) from the market. Copy the following files to your SD Card in the folder "AndroidThemes"

If you have problems

Check following

1. Have you downloaded the correct files for your ROM?

2. Have you debugging enabled in the Android Menu?

3. Install "Titanium Backup" start it and hit the "Problems?" Button, then it installs a correct busybox version. This is required!!!

4. In Metamorph, press Menu, and play with the applying speed. Choose a speed above 4200!

5. Never check the "Disable startup checks" in Metamorphs settings

6. Never, never, never rename the zipfile. If you do this, you become error messages like "Theme Control File Missing"

I tried to download it, but I had to change the "http" protocol to "https" since 4shared has been restricted by the "Great Firewall" of P.R. China.

Is the file I downloaded correct?

The title says it's for Modaco Custom Rom 2.0 and CM 5.0.4....

so it won't work with Desire ROM!

Besides, why do you want to flash a desire status bar to a desire ROM, isn't it there from the start? :)

All themes get newest updates.

Now including *.xml files to support metamorph pro (donate) versions, too.

Please have a look at stericsons donate version of metamorph in market.

He did so many for us themers, so it's worth more than the two bucks!!!!

Now you can use my themes with metamorph free AND metamorph pro!

Quick question: I see that this gets updated for pretty much the latest versions of each ROM, but is it still compatible with older versions? Reason I ask is I still run MCR 1.7 (due to me not liking the colored notifications and a few other features).

Thanks!

Formel, this is awesome. It's these types customizations that make Android superior to its predecessors.

I liked the green battery icons, and white radio icons, however I swapped the GPS and Bluetooth icons, as well as the Upload and Download animations from your other desire Morph. Was easy and works well. Thanks!

So am I understanding correctly that you just need to use MetaMorph to apply? Never used it before so I want to know before I try to install it.

Yes, right.

Download Metamorph from Market, copy this file here to the folder "AndroidThemes" on SD Card.

Start Metamorph and follow the steps.

Please be sure, that the Nexus don't go to sleep while applying!

Okay so I tried that, but my device completely locked up. I attempted to restart, but it got stuck on the boot animation (would load half of it, then stutter and stop). Ended up having to completely wipe the device and reinstall the OS.
