Guest biron_w Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 I have to fix SD Ext every day to get my apps to work and yes im on a2sd Why is this? I posted the same question yesterday as I have the same problem http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...ng-from-market/
Guest Nerf Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 I posted the same question yesterday as I have the same problem http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...ng-from-market/ Oh I see, Thanks for the info!
Guest Dan Mullen Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Oh I see, Thanks for the info! I get this occasionally on the Hero.
Guest shemau Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 I started seeing this same problem a few days ago. I periodically go to market and my downloads and update all the apps with 'update available'. The first two updated fine, the last three refuse to update. photoshop mobile, reality browser and twidroid all fail to download. The phone is rooted. Other than that it standard December ROM from T-Mobile web site. I don't use a2sd and I have not formatted the memory card. The error message is simply: Download unsuccessful Like the original poster, the failure is the same over wifi or 3g. Any thoughts on how to fix it? Web browsing, twitter, SMS, phone calls etc. all seem to work. All original and installed apps seem to work. It is just downloads from the market place. I have adb, is there a cache somewhere that I could go and clean out?
Guest jrec Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 I don't know if this is the exact same issue, but I've had the Pulse for a week now and hit a problem a few days in that downloads would just hang, saying 'downloading' and never complete, let alone start. Sometimes an error too. With the help of a forum (possibly here though I'm afraid I can't remember) I worked out that either an over-zealous task killer, or me in a misguided fit of tidying/experimentation, had closed the Google Talk process, which in turn (oddly) killed my ability to download from the Market. Making sure Google Talk was running, and also making sure in GT settings that it was set to automatically sign in, solved this for me. YMMV of course. jrec
Guest The.Edge Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 I've got a similar problem. After the installation of the Modaco Custom Rom 1.7 my T-Pulse won't download anything from the market. In the other topic I saw something about erasing the Google Apps-cache, but since then, I'm asked to enter my Google Account-details to connect with the Google servers, but is says it can't estabilish a proper connection with the Google server. I've tried this over Wi-fi and 3G. I've also tried both with and without the phone being connected to the power supply and PC.
Guest Basher52 Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 I think it is an issue from the Custom Rom if you dont do an davilk-wipe. So if you wont to flash your device another time, always rember: 1) data wipe/factory reset 2) davilk cache wipe 3)ext2/3 wipe If you got already the problem, than got into bootloader an choose: fix apk uid mismatches and after this you run: Repair SD:ext, atfer this it should work normal way.
Guest primo007 Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 The download unsuccessful problem is not related to custom roms, it happens with the original one too. The solution is the following: In Settings/Manage Applications clear the cache of the Market app and the data of the Download Manager app. Worked for me.

I am on the T-Mobile ROM with December update. There are a set of applications that have updates available (according to the market place) but that will just not download successfully (3f or wifi). So I start 'Settings', scroll down to Applications (Manage applications) and select it... then what? I get a list of applications, but not obvious was to clear the market cache or download manager data. The options are Unknown Sources (tick box), Development (list... but looks unrelated) or Manage Applications (list which is where I thought I should be... but...) So moving into Manage application has a list of applications. Menu seems to give unrelated options. Selecting an application with trouble downloads... and there is a clear cache button that is disabled. More and more apps are having this problem now. Edit: Thanks fixed. Just realized that I was supposed to select Market and clear the cache for that... and Download Manager and clear the data for that... My apps are starting download again now. Used to have Apps download issues a lot few weeks ago when Tmobile had issues (Maybe) with connecting google talk and thus Android market not recognising your device. I haven't seen this problem for last couple of weeks. Stock rom with Dec update.
