Guest Jeremy Goh Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Hello Guys, Was wondering whether is there an app or something which can allow our Hero's to achieve some kind of HD video recording? Motorola Droid is able to do that with Qik support, I dont see why our device cant. Thanks!

Guest Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Let's not forget that the processor and RAM is insufficient too. And that video is terrible on Hero at standard resolutions.
Guest jUsT2eXy Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 HTC HERO = CIF@15fps ... very very poor indeed...for a phone produced in 2009.. my N95 8GB had a 5MP camera + VGA@30fps in 2007... that kind of takes the mick... oh well I love my Hero even if the camera / video is below-par CIF is poor. I want HD recording.. Desire will get (according to reports) it via software update later on... nice ! I'll get the Desire in a few months as an upgrade.. <_<
Guest dipje Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Motorola Droid is able to do that with Qik support, I dont see why our device cant. Besides the difference in optics, what about the basic fact that the droid is waaay much more faster in horsepower? and please don't start the '550mhz' thing or something like that. The hero runs 528mhz, but compare it to a Pentium 3 528mhz. The droid has 550mz, but compare it to a Core2Duo 550mhz. You can guess which one is faster, forget the mhz-to-mhz comparations. Every basic benchmark shows that the droid is quite a magnitude faster (as it's supposed to be) as the Hero. (ps, the pentium3 / core2duo comparison was ment to be to show the differences between chipsets, not to say a droid is actually as fast as an core2duo @ 550mhz :)).
