Guest bgmrk Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 I've read in some places on this forum that it is sometime in june? but when i google it...all i get is stuff about the liquid E. Is the Liquid going to be getting an official 2.1 update sometime? can someone share a source with me?
Guest Quipeace Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Yep, it's getting an official update. Noone knows when though...
Guest maddin91 Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 I wrote to the Acer support in Germany, and asked them when the update will be leaked. I got this answer: "Das Update auf Android 2.1 wird zum Ende März 2010 erwartet." traslated into english: The update to Android 2.1 is expected for the end of March 2010. Other guys in the Android-hilfe.de forum got similar answers. I think we'll see an update soon.

I don't see how they CAN'T update it as the LiquidE is virtually the same hardware spec in a different case....and the beta ROMs run fine on existing Liquid S100 phones. There may be a delay....but the source will come out at some point and v2.1 will be a certainty provided there is at least 1 dev who can compile and run it.
Guest bgmrk Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Thanks for the responses guys!!! just the info i was looking for. and the liquid E has the EXACT same specs i believe.
Guest Piter1225 Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 I think the response from Acer is reliable, and we will see official update in next two weeks, same situation as with Donut kernel source.
Guest peterx666 Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 I think the response from Acer is reliable, and we will see official update in next two weeks, same situation as with Donut kernel source. Possibly its a commercial decision so that they can sell the E at a higher price?
