Guest v_iliev Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 (edited) Hi all I'm experiencing that problem since I've installed 3.2b5 and started using App2SD - not sure any of it has to do with though. I've upgraded from 3.1 where such problem did not exist. The problem in detail - when trying to call someone - clicking on the People widget or using the Phone dialer list - the phone does "click" on it, but nothing happens. Sometimes after 30-40-50 seconds - it initiates the call. Free memory at that point is ~ 70 - 90 MB The only solution to that is to restart the phone. Unfortunately - it makes the phone unusable if you just need to make a call - no need to mention if you are in a hurry... Any solutions or ideas will be appreciated. Cheers Edited March 17, 2010 by v_iliev

Have you found a solution or a workaround for this ? Do you think it will be the same if some other "Phone app" is used ? Edited March 17, 2010 by v_iliev

It has nothing to do with App2SD, I'm using the MCR 3.2, but I'm not facing this kind of problem. Have you installed any other app related to the phone thing ? Edited March 17, 2010 by Dr. dre

Guest Dan Mullen Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 no, not really I haven't installed any conflicting dialer-type apps. I've never found a solution to it either. It doesn't happen that often, but when it does it's annoying!
Guest jUsT2eXy Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 I have a similar problem relating to calls... when you press a contact to call...the phone will start calling but it will not show the 'calling' screen... instead you will still see the contacts screen..then about 5 seconds after you will see the 'calling' screen... ;) Now we know the Hero is laggy..so sometimes when I have been flicking through my contacts I have accidently pressed onto a contact and as the screen was playing catchup the call initiated and I did not want to call that person... so I had to disconnect the call (when the calling screen came on a few seconds later..but within those few seconds the call connected) and sent a text to the contact saying I called by accident :) (I did this at 4am..the girl was annoyed to say the least..woke her up :P ) Happens sometimes.... very annoying ! Ps.. I have no 3rd party calling apps
