Contacts and SMSes

Hello!

I'm new with this android stuff, so I'd like to ask some questions.

I have made a backup of my old phone's (Nokia 5310) contacts and SMSes. They are simple .csv files. I would like to export those datas to my Pulse, and I don't know how. I have the MCR 1.7 installed. Which applications are the best for creating contact lists and sending/receiving SMSes? The SMSes are very important, because, I send 3-5 of them every day and I save them for logging.

Thanks for the replies!

Not sure about the texts, but for contacts, login to your gmail and import the CSV as contacts there, they will then sync down to the phone.

I imported my csv file into outlook express on my pc, then I opened pc suite with the pulse connected and there was an option to syncronise contacts on the phone with contacts in outlook express.

This might be an option if you don't want to mess around with gmail.

Bendolfc: The Gmail can't read properly the .csv file.

le_lutin: The Outlook can't read properly the .csv file.

I'm going to type every contact, character by character. I hate this uncompatibility.

Sorry for saying something very basic, but if you still have your old phone, why not just copy the contacts on the SIM (250 will be the limit though) and import the same contacts from the SIM in Pulse? That's how I did from my old Nokia 6680.

Good idea, thanks! The next time, I will do like this. Last night, I typed in every contact in the Pulse's Pc Suite, and I copied onto the Pulse.

By the way, I'm still waiting for solutions for the SMS issue. :)
