Reverting to original recovery

My brother's Pulse is screwedand needs to go back to T-Mobile - basically, the in-call volume is ridiculously low. I know I can run the December update from T-Mobile to go back to a stock ROM, but what about the custom recovery image? How do I revert that to an original one?

Any ideas will be much appreciated :)

If you install the December Update it will replace the entire firmware, including the recovery image. And userdata will be deleted too. Essentially it erases it back as if brand new from T-Mobile UK, any other changes will be gone.

Ah, right - I didn't know that it replaced the recovery image too. Cheers :)
