Google Maps 4 for T Mobile Pulse

Hi Everyone...

I m kin of new 2 all this android stuff.... so just wondering how can i install google maps 4.0 on my T Mobile Pulse (rooted 1.7 - MoDaCo Custom ROM - U8230 Vanilla Style)

I tried installing them but always got an error "maps could not be installed on this device" - i think due to some certificate issue since I downloaded the maps.apk from somewhere else.

Could anyone please help me in doing this.

version 4.0 does not work on android 1.5 devices.

Version 4 & 4.1 require an ANdroid 1.6 Device, but hopefully will get the Update to Android 2.1 in a couple of weeks.

thanks for the reply guys, quick question after rooting my phone n flashing it with 1.7 MoDaCo Custom ROM - U8230 Vanilla Style firmware... thought i was on 1.7 version n can install Google Maps 4.0.

You're on MoDaCo Custom rom version 1.7, which is based on Android 1.5. So no, you cannot install this.

Wait for a few weeks for when we get an update to Andoid 2.1.
