Guest oggie41 Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 How do you delete SIM contacts on a HTC Hero? They are currently duplicating as I have them saved as Google contacts. I'm using Villain 3.4 (Android 2.1). Thanks, Dave
Guest pulser Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 How do you delete SIM contacts on a HTC Hero? They are currently duplicating as I have them saved as Google contacts. I'm using Villain 3.4 (Android 2.1). Thanks, Dave Villain is currently based on an Eris leak, so it doesn't know what a SIM card is :) Basically, you'd need to do it in another phone. The next build of Villain (4.0 beta it should be) will almost certainly be a legend-based ROM (the dev has announced he's testing it right now), and this will allow you to disable sim contacts as per usual. So, short of using another handset, it can't be done yet...
Guest tarka_dal Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 I had the same trouble, finding myself with a mess of duplicate contacts after importing them from SIM. At first, I couldn't figure this out, but then it hit me that it is pretty easy to do via the View filtering in the People app. Go to People > Menu > View, there check just SIM contacts and uncheck all others. Then go back to People > Menu > Delete > Menu again > Select all and confirm. SIM contacts gone. Then go back to View and reenable your other contacts. Hope it helps
