Guest david_dawkins Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 Hi, does anybody know how to control what's displayed when the phone is locked? I'd like to see what track I'm playing (in this case, on last.fm) without unlocking. Thanks! Dave

I'd like to see what track I'm playing (in this case, on last.fm) without unlocking. Thanks! Dave I guess the Lockscreen is a part of the Launcher.apk, right? If it is I think theres no way than editing the Launcher or to get a modified one that has this function. But there are some replacements in the Market, maybe theres one with that function. I'd also like a lockscreen that looks like the iPhone locckscreen (I don't like the iPhone - I love my Pulse, but I really miss that feature). Greetings, BigBear Edited March 19, 2010 by BigBearMDC

Greetings, BigBear Theres a few lock replacements to look like the iphone, lock 2.0, pandahome etc. I've found both drain your battery more than normal, think its due to the fact its not a true lockscreen.
Guest Gustaf Jarnling Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 Theres a few lock replacements to look like the iphone, lock 2.0, pandahome etc. tried most of them, ended up using LockBot Pro for a while. what I liked about it was the ability not only to mimic iPhone but HTC locks. but of course it lacks anything informative, it's only an aesthetic upgrade compared to the Android one. then there is Executive Assistant +. surely this one is much more informative, but what we gain in information we once again loose in aesthetics. it looks ok, but didn't really blend in with my home screen. and there is no way to theme it, which the developers really should look into... I've found both drain your battery more than normal, think its due to the fact its not a true lockscreen. if you do wanna go with one of the above this might be an issue. but honestly I didn't really note much of a difference. what's more important is to make sure your Pulse -- or other smartphone -- don't use the CPU more then necessary. I would recommend to use SetCPU with Profiles as showed in this Droiddog video -- specially the screen off profile! does anybody know how to control what's displayed when the phone is locked? so how do we reach this point? I had kind of the same problem. I use SlideScreen Pro, love both the information is gives me and the way it look. my solution was to use Keyguard Disable -- to do just that: inactivate the lock screen. but now of course I lack a lock screen, which isn't always that good when you have your phone in your pocket... fortunately there is a transparent -- several options available tho -- lock screen: Clear Lock. I know these applications cost you money. but to fair, it is an solution to your problem. only problem I've found is that sometimes SlideScreen Pro don't update unless I unlock Clear Lock. good luck and pls let me know if you find a better solution! regards, Gustaf
