Guys

I love the idea of G calendar for my work calendar, but I'm looking for a better way of it working.

I'm not allowed to sync my calendar directly with G, so I have to do a CSV export/import via the website. I can live with that.

I use "secondary" calendars in Google, because the device doesn't always delete appts that are deleted via the website, so I create a new "secondary" calendar, set email notifications, and import from a CSV file.

What I'd like is to get the Hero to update automatically when a calendar is deleted and a new one created

Can the frequency of local updates be controlled somehow?

gsyncit synchronizes google calendar with outlook, how does that help your problem... okay honestly i don't understand your problem :) you are syncing your hero with google? and you are syncing google calendar with some other program via csv import export? so what does not work now?

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

I can't use 3rd party tools, including Goggles own, because the machines are locked down so tight. That's not a problem in itself because I can export and import into Google.

The consequence of that, and locally held appt details not being deleted, is that I have to create a new Google calendar to import to - otherwise I get duplicates

The main issue I have is that the Hero doesn't update itself when I create a new calendar via the Google calendar website.

If I can get the phone to update the calendars itself promptly I'll be happy.
