Hi there! I'm new on this forum and i have recently bought a SPV E650 phone (windows mobile standard of course). It's a Romanian version of Windows Mobile 6 Crossbow(standard). All works fine but there's a little problem:

When i try to do something (read PDFs, listen to music, browse web via WiFi or send via bluetooth or anything else) the phone powers off instantly, without to show me the shutdown animation. On the other hand the battery is fully charged, and after this unknowed reason power off the battery goes to 50% or lower. In some cases if i let it turned off it shows the battery charged again but I still can't use it!

What can i do?

Can i upgrade the ROM to something better, does it stays up until the operation complets?

P.S. -The phone worked until now... now it's almost useless!

-The phone was hard reseted about hundreds of times, and it results the same problem.

-I charge the phone via USB! Is this a problem! I charged for a week on AC and nothing!

Any IDEAS?

If your phone behaves like this then the battery is dead for sure. Whenever the phone needs more current the voltage drops and the device shuts off. You will not be able to make calls or connect via WIFI either. I have setup a method to test your battery capacity - just look it up here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629348

It seems to be true, The battery is verrry low :)

Can i do something to recover it, instead of buying a new one?

because i can't find where to buy one (in RO, there's no e-bay!)

Can it be fixed (this is the first time that i'm eperiencing this! and i have tried a lot of things and no results)

The most interesting thing is that this battery keeped up until 2 or 3 days, and with WiFi almost a day!

any idea?

There is no magic way to recover a worn out Li battery. You can however use any other LiIon that fits the slot mechanically. I remember that someone stated some Blackberry batteries would work as well. Search the forum for this topic. If you can get paypal where you live then you can use any country for ebay afaik. The vendors deliver to the paypal address only.
