Ok I can now see the Acer liquid as a mounted hard drive from file manager in XP

I have downloaded a load of applications I want to use... onto my Acer liquid.... ( APK files in the main but some ZIPS and PHP files)

Tried double clicking in XP but it does not know this type of file so wont do anything.....

Tried a few things on the phone..... creating folders...... using ADD from menu...... using search....

But cant see the files..... have Astro file manager on the phone but unless I can load it up cant use it

Can somebody point me in the right direction

Stuck again

Pete

Mount the SD card

Put the apk files on the SD card

UNMOUNT the SD card

Open ASTRO

navigate to the apk files

Click on the apk file

select install

That should be it

I must admit it has cost me some time before I understood this was the trick (see attachment).

On a sidenote: this isn't the most convenient way to install apps on your liquid. I'd suggest you use "adb install <app>". Search the forum if you don't understand what that means...

thanks for your help
