Guest peterx666 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Ok I can now see the Acer liquid as a mounted hard drive from file manager in XP I have downloaded a load of applications I want to use... onto my Acer liquid.... ( APK files in the main but some ZIPS and PHP files) Tried double clicking in XP but it does not know this type of file so wont do anything..... Tried a few things on the phone..... creating folders...... using ADD from menu...... using search.... But cant see the files..... have Astro file manager on the phone but unless I can load it up cant use it Can somebody point me in the right direction Stuck again Pete

Guest Quipeace Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Mount the SD card Put the apk files on the SD card UNMOUNT the SD card Open ASTRO navigate to the apk files Click on the apk file select install That should be it

On a sidenote: this isn't the most convenient way to install apps on your liquid. I'd suggest you use "adb install <app>". Search the forum if you don't understand what that means...
