Guest my Hero Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Hi, i've a HTC Hero with Firmware 1.5, and followed unlockr.com's video to root it and installed "Modaco Custom ROM 3.2 Core, SSH" currently my Hero still says firmware 1.5, how do i upgrade my Hero to the equivalent Android 2.0 or 2.1? is it even possible or i have to stick with 1.5? sorry, i'm very new to this mobile thing and i've searched all over and still confused about the Android vs Modaco's firmware version... Thanks!
Guest andy-hooks Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 congrats on getting your phone rooted and installing modaco. unfortuatley there isnt an official upadte for 2.1 yet but you can download 2.1 roms which are mostly made from an eris leak head over to xda developers to find these as theres quite a few. i have tried most of them but in the end i always seem to come back to modaco. just dont forget to do a nandroid backup before installing these roms
Guest Tornik Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Hi there, I'm in exactly the same situation, My Hero. I rooted my HTC Hero and installed the Modaco ROM a couple of weeks ago. As I understand it, there is a version in the pipeline which uses the 1.6 ROM as a basis. Personally, I would recommend waiting a while for that to appear.
