I googled a lot and found some info considering editing, modding, and plugins for the default home panel for winmo 6.5. Specifically: two editors (Tinanizer and chome editor) and various plugins. However, I tried some plugins (e.g. showaco's weather) on my 6.5.5 build 223547 ROM by daskalos, but they were not compatible, they stuck, e.t.c.

Anybody to suggest how to customize well the titanium panels? I'd prefer this over Samsung's touchwiz because it's so lighter and less ROM consuming.

PS - By the way, any news about HTC's Touch Flo 3D integration in B7610? Some work has been started on i8000, but still there are some issues to be solved. Any TF3D cab readily available for our handhelds?

I use gchris theme 1.3.1 (also with Showaco weather) and it works like a charm. Only issue is that it consumes some ram. With Daskalos megalite 6.5.5 previous version I' got about 85 mb free ram on boot.

Sometimes I disable it and use Resco Today plugin and then I have 91 mb on boot !!!

For TouchFlo3D you can use this one here:

http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-verizo...162/touchflo3d/

I have tried it and with bugfixes (read the thread) it is working very well! (even on B7610)

But i recognized, that the switching between Work/Life is not possible, if you are using it.

Have a try (you can deinstall it, if you don't like) :)

Ultra fast responsive UI!!! Everything works (including my local area for weather plugin)! This is e-x-a-c-t-l-y what I looked for my B7610 (for portrait view - is your landscape view working?).

Thanks guys!

gchris theme is good, but Samsung Today better - very functional, very fast.

But is it customizable? Can you add a tasks tab, a weather tab? Not even a wallpaper is possible to change without replacing files and dll's!!! And how about RAM?

Yes gchris 1.3.1 it's working only in vertical mode not horizontal :)

Samsung Today is not present in this rom (Daskalos Megalite 6.5.5).

The fastest (less mem using shell is Resco Today but it's commercial). I have 91+ mb ram after reboot with Resco Today plugin customized with whole screen in icons. After reboot with gchris I have about 85 mb and I think it's leaking a little bit faster, maybe because of active weather plugin...

But gchris is very good looking especially with elegant grey/steel theme.. and also easy to customize.

I have on screen Today indispensable shortcuts, setting and information. Wallpaper black, theme black (Tacchan B&W). Free RAM in new MEGALite - 70 MB after installation my progs.

Samsung Today is not present in this rom (Daskalos Megalite 6.5.5).

ST is in cab file... you can install.

I'll give examples (gchris uses about 5,5 mb more ram then resco today plugin). After reboot I have about 91 mb with RT plugin (Resco Screen capture used about 3mb)...:) Just take a look at screenshots...

Ok, I have to pull this thread a little further because I have the feeling that by cooking, building, and flashing one rom after the other, we will not find the remedy for this powerfull but buggy piece of crap called windows mobile. Not to mention Samsung's almost ridiculous try to imitate HTC's successfull TF3D UI, called touchwiz. And again, there could be out there in the market, commendable tries able enough to hide the problems of winmo under the carpet. HTC succeeded on many devices with inferior hardware than B7610.

So, the interfaces and their customizations mentioned above (Titanium plugins, RescoToday, e.t.c.) are really impressive! They are close to the best in class, but they are not the best. I want to add to this list SPB Shell, as well as PointUI. Do the later have the potential to outcome the reasons that make us want more RAM, less lag, more eyecandy, less energy consume???

PS1 - It's a shame that B7610 is less responsive than my previous OMAP 200 MHz HTC Pharos (with XDA's cooked ROM off course)!!!

PS2 - It's unacceptable that even the official ROMs have memory leakage!!!
