Thanks Peter Yes! you have to put it back to the standard orange ROM, If you have flashed the unlocked SPL 1.76.2007 then flash an Orange RUU and If not then first flash the Unlocked SPL then you can downgrade it to any Orange RUU, So that it will be quiet easy for you.
Guest sik_gerar Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 why? i mean.. does it void the warranty or something?
Guest Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 why? i mean.. does it void the warranty or something? Yes, changing the ROM away from the stock version voids the warranty. If the phone turns into a brick in the process of upgrading the ROM, they have no obligation to repair the phone under warranty or if its broken, offer a replacement. Use the RUU (ROM Update Utility) as it replaces everything on the phone: the SPL, ROM and recovery console with the carrier's files. This means your phone stops being rooted and behaves exactly like it did when you bought it.

Thank you Dr.Dre Your instructions worked perfect :) The phone left me today and is winging its way to htc.
Guest cloneapoc Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 let me know how that works out for you.
Guest PeteT Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 let me know how that works out for you. It worked fine. Sent the phone to HTC, they fixed the trackball issue and the phone has been working ever since, until today  My touch screen has stopped working at the bottom of the screen, so i have had to reset everything again. A phone call will be made to htc in the morning again. Thank you again Dr. dre
Guest PeteT Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 What kind of trackball issue did you have? When moving tghe ball to the left, it wouldn't register that movement. Up, Down and right all worked fine.
