Hello,

I read many HowTos and Guides on installing Andromnia but failed.

I wanted to register to the Andromnia forum but it has so many errors so I could not.

I succeeded in only running Haret after putting it inside a folder along with default.txt and zImage or Image which I guess is the linux kernel.

I always get a kernel panic error.

I tried formatting the microSD 2GB card with ext3 on another ubuntu machine then copying rootfs onto it with following whiplash guide:

sudo fdisk -l

sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdb1

sudo mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdb1

but I do not know how to unmount it!!!

also I do not how to change the files permissions!!!

I guess I might need these steps so please help me

Note: PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER UNLESS YOU HAVE A PERFECTLY RUNNING ANDROID ON YOUR OMNIA! (uppercasing is meant for visual clarity only)

Thanx in advance.

You'll probably get better help in this thread http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-h...-samsung-omnia/. Android is not fully running, so just a warning. You won't get further than it booting and I think internet access via wifi. It doesn't call correctly or text, and it has stand by issues, as well as some other issues related to lack of drivers. Sadly this project has slowed to crawl and most say its dead, which is very unfortunate. Good luck though
