Guest G2 USER Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Hi, I've been having some driver issues with HTC sync after installing droidexplorer and new usb drivers are installed (Hero now detected as an (ADB interface)Android phone), now my phone can't detect HTC sync anymore. Also mounting the sdcard will only get detected by windows when debug mode is enable in the hero. How do i fix the drivers so that these 2 apps will work installed on the same machine? Os is win7 x64. THX!
Guest DMILT Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Try to kill two processes in "Task Manager" - "adb" and "DExplorer". This help my Hero to detect HTC Sync on win7 x64 (sorry for my english)
Guest G2 USER Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 Hi, thanks but those 2 processes only run when droid explorer is running, closing dexplorer will kill these 2 anyway! Any other ideas? Ok solved this myself, if anyone else has the same trouble here's what to do.... Install latest HTC Sync, plug in hero and load in drivers (check sync works) and then install droid explorer. Go into devices and printers and check the android phone hardware and update ADB device driver to "MY HTC" driver using HTC sync drivers! Go into services in administration tools and set droid explorer service to manual and also stop the service. HTC sync will now work! Close HTC sync, disconnect hero and start up droid explorer re-connect hero and connect to it! To use HTC sync again.... Disconnect hero, start task manager and kill ADB.exe process, start up HTC sync, connect hero and soft connect as usual, sync then re-connects!
