Pulse not loading

Hi,

I have a T-mobile Pulse which has mainly worked fine since getting it and I haven't done anything with it other than adding bits from the market. Today I got a text message and when I tried to read it, it started doing the spinny pink/red wheel thing like it does when you first switch the phone on but won't do anything else.

I can still receive calls and texts and can reply to the texts, via the text but can't do anything else like get to the homepage/menu.

I've downloaded the dec upgrade and attempted to put it onto the phone; put it onto formatted sd card, etc but when I do the end key, +voice and power key at the same time, it just comes up with upload failed.

I am very quickly getting annoyed with this, can anyone help me please. In simple terms :) Thanks.
