Guest Woodrix Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Hey All, I have just the stock firmware on my verizon omnia right now, and I recently installed Opera Mobile 10. I'd like to edit the menu so that the "Internet" button is associated with this program, instead of the older version. I have set it as my default browser... but it still didn't change in the proprietary menu. I've seen plenty of posts on making your own menus, but they have little information on just editing the one already installed. I'm assuming it would be possible just to move the Opera Mobile 10 files into the directory of the older version, and change the name of the .exe, so it references the same name, but I would rather just edit the menu, incase I find some other edits I would like to make later down the road. Any thoughts? -Woodrix
Guest Woodrix Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Well, I moved the Opera 10 files over, and changed the name of the .exe... worked fine. It DOES still open a new tab containing start.vzw.com, but for now, that's fine. I did get out the menu .exe for editting, and may be able to change some small stuff(for example if I find the text color), but voiding out the code to open the "Home Page" caused the launcher application to not run. I'll keep playing with it.
