Omnia i900 USB Issue

Hi,

I've had my omnia i900 for about 14 months now and run many custom roms in an attempt to rid of the interface lag.

I'm currently running the FloTanium 23518 - FAT for about 4 weeks now.

Since last week i have been unable to connect the device to ANY PC, the issue may have been caused by disconnecting the device without ejecting from windows - i'm not too certain.

When the device is connected to a PC, i hear the USB connected sound but the device does not appear in windows at all - it is not possible to access the device and the screen on the omnia turns off after a certain amount of time (which does not happen when properly connected).

I've tried:

• Soft & Hard Resetting the Device
  
• Enabling/Disabling Advanced Network Functionality from Settings -> USB to PC
  
• Changing the USB connection mode from ActiveSync to Mass Storage (and reverse)
  
• Attempted on XP, Vista and Windows 7 (no detection on any)
  

I'm not certain what to do next, please help !!! :)

Did you try getting a new USB cable or using a microSD card and a card reader?

Have not tried a new cable, i'll order one and see if this resolves the issue.

Any other suggestions while waiting? I want to reflash to an original trimmed rom, damn thing freezes for 30 seconds every time i access messages with this rom.
