Hi!

I'm one of the authors of "Wireless Tether for Root Users".

We are currently trying to add support for the liquid. The problem is that we don't have such a device available for testing!

That's why we probably need YOU!

I've created an issue-report on our google-code page: http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-teth...s/detail?id=289

Thanks for your help.

Harry

Don't install kernel (netfilter-support!) which were built for other devices!

Sorry, but where do we get this custom kernel?

I've been following their work so far.

This is a genuine effort by some developers to bring wifi tether to Acer Liquid.

We should help them as much as possible.

agreed but as per my posting over at xda we need that kernel module :), disc0 compiled a kernel w/ it but had issues when booting.

another thought was to use the usb proxy method via wifi, but we can't seem to have both wifi and umts at the same time
