Guest mirox3m Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) From harry_m on XDA Liquid forum Hi! I'm one of the authors of "Wireless Tether for Root Users". We are currently trying to add support for the liquid. The problem is that we don't have such a device available for testing! That's why we probably need YOU! I've created an issue-report on our google-code page: http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-teth...s/detail?id=289 Thanks for your help. Harry Don't install kernel (netfilter-support!) which were built for other devices! Edited March 25, 2010 by mirox3m
Guest m106 Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 (edited) Sorry, but where do we get this custom kernel? Edited March 25, 2010 by m106
Guest linuxluver Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 I've been following their work so far. This is a genuine effort by some developers to bring wifi tether to Acer Liquid. We should help them as much as possible.
Guest kylenk Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 agreed but as per my posting over at xda we need that kernel module :), disc0 compiled a kernel w/ it but had issues when booting. another thought was to use the usb proxy method via wifi, but we can't seem to have both wifi and umts at the same time
