Hey,

So I currently have a silicon case (this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Black-Silicone-Skin-...item5ad54d84f6)

I like

- I never have to remove the phone from the case.

- it adds grip to the phone, so i rarely ever drop it.

- it absorbs impacts, such as when I dropped it onto a stone floor.

I hate

- the fact it makes my phone look like a brick

- how ugly the big black silicon case is

I want to see the beauty of the phone again!!

So what can people recommend?

Thanks

i am currently using a capdase leather case. i tried using a silicon case but i once dropped my phone facedown and it stuck a sharp corner and this resulted to a dead pixel in the screen. fortunately i was able to claim a warranty repair for the screen. with the leather case, even if i accidentally drop the phone, the impact is absorbed by the leather case.

Well I think those cons you mentioned comes with every other solution than having a raw phone in your hands.

I actually like my rubberized hard case which comes with a stylus integrated, but opinion is very relative thing.

Great case - does not add too much bulk and the integrated stylus comes in very handy!

Hi,

I used to use the same silicon case like you do, but I recently bought a new type of silicon cases that are much harder but still flexible and transparent.

Note that it's not a hard crystal case. It's a little bit flexible but you can't bend and twist it like the one you are using.

I bought this one: new type of Omnia silicon case (the page is german).

Once it's put on the phone it looks just like one of those crystal-cases (I had one of these too and it broke after just 3 weeks).

It fits perfectly on the Omnia.

I like the fact that the new silicon case still has enough grip when you hold it in your hands, but there is no difficulty in putting it in your trousers' pocket unlike the old silicon case.

The downside on the one that I ordered is that the buttons for camera, volume up/down, menu and on/off are covered with the hard silicone which makes it impossible to push them, even with high pressure. So you have to cut the parts out that cover the buttons.

I chose the cheapest case on eBay to try it out, there are more expensive ones and maybe other manufacturers have already cut out all buttons.

All in all I can really recommend it to those that are not satisfied with the current silicon cases.

Does this case have a clip on so you can clip it to your belt? Also a holder for the stylus?

I got a package on ebay of hard clear case (so beautiful on the phone that that's the one I am using), rubber case, leather case, screen protector, wall charger and car charger for like $12. Great deal.

The crystal case brings out the chrome look of the phone.

The screen protector is great - it got rid of the gritty feel where there was a scratch on the screen. Now it looks and feels like new.

the one i posted in the link is the type of case i am actually using. it has a stylus holder but it does not have a belt clip. there is a flip top capdase case for the omnia that has a belt clip. go check out the site, there is a picture of it. i'm not sure if the flip top clip type has a stylus holder though.
