Do you reckon its worth me getting another one? I managed to break my first Pulse (still need to upload pics of the insides... I'll do it tonight!)

Not a bad price at £120, obviously + the £10 top-up they require, then £15 to unlock. I'm tempted by the HTC Desire when that comes out, but 1/ I can't get contract at ALL and 2/ it's only being released on networks that have no reception around my house at all ;)

Is 2.1 a definite update now, or are we still going on words from various forums and "official" contacts? :)

Are there any other decent Android phones on the market for a good price at the mo? What about the Samsung Galaxy - worth looking at?

Hey, Im pretty sure 2.1 is definate, If it doesnt come out, im sure some genius's on here can rip it from the pulse mini and stick something together,

Ive also used the Galaxy, it has a amoled screen i think, but I dont really like it, the screens small, and the device feels bigger around the screen that the Pulse,

the galaxy is supposed to get 2.1 in a update soon, Its up to you ofc, but i personally would get the Pulse ;)

Nope - outer case is plastic, beneath is an LCD type screen. I'll post pics tonight for you all :)

There was debate about the screen for a while. Can't remember if it was glass or not. All I know is I took off the plastic that came on it and tried scratching it with a needle. No scratch =]

Well, I'm 99% certain it's not glass... Though I haven't looked at the damn thing in ages, gave up looking for a replacement screen. I'll check later

I'm not.

After trying out a nexus one, the pulse is really a toy. I still use my pulse and was going to get another(for family member) today.

But a SIM free HTC Desire is what I'm after.

Yes it's more expensive but I want 2.1 and we still have no official statement saying pulse will get 2.1 and even if it's useable.

We have seen videos of Pulse on 2.1 on test devices so I dont think they would have gone through all that trouble just to show it off at a conference!

Sounds good to me! Thought bugger it and bought one. Tried to find a PS3 for £200 with 2 controllers and Little Big Planet at Asda, seems none of my local stores have one so its a new phone instead :)
