Guest Talk2theHand Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Hi everyone! I was wondering if any of you use spb 3.5 on your omnias and how it has been doing? Mine works great except 3d messaging doesn't show my contact's photos even though I've already set pics. Other than that, it's great. Does anyone know how make this work? Thanks
Guest 1968falconxt Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 works great on my phone. I will never go back to anything else! have you turned off threaded SMS'? If you do, the 3D message viewer should show photos. mine does!!
Guest Talk2theHand Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Yea SPB's the best IMO..I've tried others but so far, I'm sticking with this. Love how you can just customize the home page with widgets and shortcuts. Anyway, I did turn threaded SMS off. Still not working though.
Guest jms2367 Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 works great for me when i was on shokka's wm6.1 lite rom. i am currently using this on pdhee's 21893 lite rom. so far so good.
Guest Talk2theHand Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Oh yea I forgot to mention. I'm using Ryrzy's Normal Rom Build 28230. I know it's a minor problem but it's driving me nuts. lol
Guest aibrean Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 I love it. I also have the weather addon.
Guest dgyahn Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 (edited) Works fine for me. I'm using Liorite's Base ROM. Also, MS 3.5.3 is out, try upgrading and see if that helps. Edited March 27, 2010 by dgyahn

You can find it here in Post #3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=566245 Thanks I d/l and installed, but it doesn't have the same widgets you have there, in particular the clock with the frame showing date, battery and weather. Anu ideas? Thanks
Guest Vostradamus Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 Thanks I d/l and installed, but it doesn't have the same widgets you have there, in particular the clock with the frame showing date, battery and weather. Anu ideas? Thanks That's not a single widget: it's made of several widgets placed one over the other :P

Anu ideas? Thanks You have to build it from several widgets. 1. You will need "Current Date" widget. Change its skin to Panel Medium (Grey2). 2. "Digital Clock" widget. Change its skin to Diamond White. 3. Three "Weather" widgets. Change first to ProPlus Standard (Small). Change second to ProPlus Info (Small). Change the third to Text Small (White). 4. Two "Battery" widgets. Change first to ProPlus Small. Change second to Text Small (White). You will need to layer these to get the effect in the screen shot. 1. Place Panel Medium (Grey2) first. 2. Add Digital Clock next. 3. Add three Weather widgets next. You will need to overlap the Text Small (White) over the ProPlus Info (Small) widget to get it to line up correctly. 4. Add Battery ProPlus Small and overlap with the Battery Text Small (White). 5. I added two invisible widgets in the upper corners, one for the Wireless Manager and the other for Phone Profile. You should be good to go. Here is a screen shot of the finished product and the build page. Edited March 31, 2010 by dgyahn

Guest tmar23 Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 Hi everyone! I was wondering if any of you use spb 3.5 on your omnias and how it has been doing? Mine works great except 3d messaging doesn't show my contact's photos even though I've already set pics. Other than that, it's great. Does anyone know how make this work? Thanks I may be waaayyyy off base here, but I think there are different methods of accessing sms messages. In spb 3.5, if you go to programs messaging, you will not see the pictures. However, if you add a shortcut to your home page by adding a widget then from the main widget menu, select shortcuts, then messaging, then 3D message viewer. THis will create a widget that allows you to view messages with pics. Again, this may be wayy off base, but in any regard I hope this helps!
Guest tensor123 Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 It has one nasty deficiency, and that is - there is no GPRS OFF button. Even if i install imarche scripts and skins on it, which should add this function, it still remains without it. So i switched back to 2.0.2. + imarche fullpack. If anyone knows the solution, please.

Maybe you could just set your end key to disconnect data calls.... [settings > Personal > Buttons > End Key tab > Disconnect data calls] (hope the path to the setting is correct... trying to remember it from when I had the Omnia 1)
Guest Vostradamus Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 I'll try that. Thanx!!! you're welcome! ;)
