When I first tried to gain root using fastboot, i got the <Remote not allow> error. Did some digging and used Flashrec to flash the recovery image. So I have root now.

The problem is I want to flash a new splash screen image using fastboot using this:

http://android.modaco.com/content/software...-a-modaco-logo/

but I am getting the same <remote not allow> error again. I am using MCR 3.2 and the latest radio.

Any ideas how can I make it work.

Thanks everyone.

you need the unlocked spl to do this. it can be flashed via recovery iirc.
