No Root after ROM install

I insatlled MoDaCo Custom ROM 2.1 for the Nexus One and the phone says I do not have root access. I had to unlock, and root it to get the custom ROM on it. I've tryed running apps that need root and it says the phone isn't rooted?

OK so Ill rebake a ROM from your Kitchen, and move it to my SD card and boot into to recovery partition, do I need to wipe or anything else? Or just reinstall the ROM?

FYI I'm on ATT 3G N1, it came with the EPE54B ROM and the flashed ROM is ERE36B, is that ok?
