Guest cortiis Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Just a curious query. I mean I have read a lot about people bricking there phones and it being such a horror. But is it that big a issue, Forgive me for sounding naive but I think while you brick your phone no hardware damage is done, right. Its the software that gets corrupted. So there must be some way to recover. Maybe flashing using some special hardware or something. I just want some information on this issue. Anyone who knows more than I know (which is too little), please share your thoughts.
Guest Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Bricking. To render your device like a brick. No input. No output. No recovery.
Guest kendon Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 in most cases a JTAG can (probably) save the device. usually means accessing the IC's directly, as in opening the phone, maybe soldering a little, building special cables, dealing with serial interfaces etc. it is not trivial, not bricking your phone is the way to go.
Guest StrongOneX Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 once upon a time i flashed the wrong spl for the wrong phone CDMA SPL INTO GSM HAHAHAAHAHA!! my phone was kinda bricked, no recovery, no input and no output still..
