Guest mward Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Ringtones ? ok I want a funky ringtone mp3/wav where do I put it ? how large can it be? can it go on the card ?
Guest madu Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Look in customisation section. And please search - plenty of answers to ur qstn. Sounds can only be .wav or midi0 (i think) no mp3 support for ringtones. must be placed in IPSMApplication DataSounds
Guest mward Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 and how are you using a mp3 on a spv ????? TELL ME!!!
Guest Pidder Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 NO need to shout!!! You can put your sounds in IPSMApplication DataSounds (works even with mp3 for me, even if the rest of this forum seems to think differently) EDITED: NO IT WORKS NOT - I WAS WRONG ABOUT THIS Than you can choose them in the options
Guest SirGaz Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Pidder, have you updated your phone with the Danish update, could this be a hidden change that is just coming to light?
Guest Pidder Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 No man, i just posted bullsh*t I really thought it was an mp3 but now i was told differently by my spv folder on the desktop sorry for that
Guest mward Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 oh no....so we cant play mp3 just wav ?
Guest Pidder Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 You can play mp3 with the media player. But not as a ringtone. Sorry for the faulty info.
Guest SirGaz Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 No worried Pidder, shame though ;)
Guest dhutchison Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 If you have a particular MP3 file that you want to use, convert it to a wav file (there are some instructions elseware on this forum). That's what I've been doing, works well and the files aren't too large.
Guest mward Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 could you tell me the software you use please?
Guest dhutchison Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 If you do a search on this forum there's quite detailed information on how to do it, with plenty of tips. Can't remember off the top of my head...
