Guest Ebartolon Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 (edited) I am please to announce... The immediate availability.... of... DamageControl v2.0r2 This is a FULL Sprint ROM! This ROM will absolutely knock your socks off! It is based upon a release candidate of a Sprint build, which up until this point was unavailable. This will be exactly like the Sprint release. I won't give any more details, so don't ask! Now there is absolutely NO reason not to upgrade. This works very flawlessly and was MEANT FOR SPRINT! This is NOT a port! There are minimal bugs on this release. A detail of each problem found can be found below, as well as the fix. A new version will come soon with the fixes described. Of the MANY new features of this ROM that I am releasing, are the following: Friendstream - you may need to install it separately New Rosie Visual Voicemail PRL update through menu - maybe? Updated pretty much everything This thing runs perfectly on my phone. Some people seem to experience different problems. This will likely require a wipe from any ROM that you're on. Remember, you got it here first! Super special thanks goes out to that super special someone! You know who you are! Also big thanks to flipz and toast for the help they gave me in getting this release out quick! Screenshots soon. Another update coming soon also with some extra goodies, however it shouldn't require a wipe. Backup and WIPE before installation!!! Sync/Battery Problems? Checking and uncheck the options under settings/sync/gmail and facebook and restart. YOU MUST MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PRI IS EITHER 1.70_003, 1.68_003, or 2.10_003!!!! This is *likely* because of other ROMs changing the PRI and not working with Sprint If its not, you must do the following: ##786# + MSL + Menu -> Reset + OK + Wait patiently = SUCCESS! TO FIND OUT YOUR MSL NUMBER, YOU EITHER NEED TO CALL SPRINT OR FOLLOW THE STEPS ON : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...amp;postcount=7 Special thanks to Agimax and MrDanger for the PRI workaround! Download: http://www.4shared.com/file/250840273/7eec...ntrolv20r2.html Current Bugs: Alarm doesn't work on some phones. If it doesn't work for you, remove Sprint_App_Updater.apk from the phone by using the following commands (through ADB) adb remount adb shell rm /system/app/Sprint_App_Updater.apk Battery drain: you need to go and set your phone to not use the gsm band. On the dialer, type in *#*#4636#*#* and go to phone information and change the set preferred network type to CDMA auto(PRL) - you must do this regardless if it shows it already. Facebook Sync: Replace HTCFacebook.apk and Facebook.apk files with the files at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...;postcount=2257 Other issues that have been reported: -Google sign-in issues (only on some phones) -Random data disconnects (only on some phones -People application doesn't show names because they blend in the background (you can see the names if you highlight them) -Other misc problems (only on some phones) Screenshots: Edited March 31, 2010 by Ebartolon
Guest sibbor Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Sounds too good to be true. Questions: 1) GSM or CDMA? 2) Any new radio ROM included?

Apparently it's not 100% final but it is "current" Spring Hero code. Seems to be a few issues with some phones. There's already a updated release over at the original thread that Kouray linked to. There's also another version with some fixes Here

Guest stevenz Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 im not having any problems at all... You've obviously got one of the phones that doesn't have the issues then.
Guest Lonewuhf Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 You've obviously got one of the phones that doesn't have the issues then. It would be a good idea to state which phones said problems exist on, so those of us that have those phones will know before installing.
Guest laouer Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 (edited) it's really functionnal?? Edited March 29, 2010 by laouer

Or you could go to the xda-forum and look for yourself. I don't have a CDMA phone so not much point me wasting time doing research for others. Or just try flashing it and see if it works, if it doesn't, then that's what nandroid is for.
Guest namakemono Posted April 2, 2010 Report Posted April 2, 2010 There is a pretty good port to GSM at xda developers, by far the best 2.1 iv'e had on my hero.
