Down The Toilet

My daughter managed to drop her Pulse down the toilet!

We retrieved it quickly & dried it out & it boots up perfectly but the touch screen isn't responding at all. Does anybody have any thoughts on what we might do?

Thanks

Back off, battery out, leave in airing cupboard? I can only imagine there's residual moisture deep inside. I don't know how to dry it quicker to prevent corrosion without melting the darn thing.

Rice, leave it in rice.

+1

Try to submerge it in dry rice, take off the battery cover / batter / micro sd / sim. Also taking the plastic off the screen (If you haven't already should help.)

Dry as-in sealed packaged rice (Non cooked :P)

Think we need photos too, to see what damage water can do to it....

Was there anything else in the water?

If you're confident, take it completely to bits. Theres only about 6 screws, the rest clips apart easily :P I keep meaning to upload photos... >.<

Anyway, take it apart and dry it out completely, check all connections etc.

I don't think the toilet had been flushed!

I'll try sealing it in a bag of rice overnight.

Thanks everyone.
