Guest Azurren Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Hi new to the forum :P , had a quick search but couldn't find the answer I put some video clips I have onto the Pulse but how do I get them to play in landscape or full screen mode? Thanks for any replies Open the "Gallery" app, find your video file and rotate the device to the left (On its side) to flip the video into landscape mode :( (It should already be in full screen, press anywhere on the screen to show / hide the menu bar) Is this what you wanted to know?
Guest AJV Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Can anyone tell me what format video needs to be in to play on the Pulse? I can't seem to find this anywhere...
Guest Azurren Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Can anyone tell me what format video needs to be in to play on the Pulse? I can't seem to find this anywhere... 3gp is your best bet (Sounds ancient I know :P ) I believe it can play mp4s but you have to encode it with the correct bitrates etc. See if anyone else can help you with this.

Guest ogiogi Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 (edited) Can anyone tell me what format video needs to be in to play on the Pulse? I can't seem to find this anywhere... The best video format and resolution for the pulse is 480x320 MP4. I use this to convert videos http://www.imtoo.com/hd-video-converter.html. Just pick the iphone H.264 or .mp4 preset and you're good to go. Edited March 28, 2010 by ogiogi
Guest HunteronX Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 I choose H.264 mpeg4 over regular mpeg4 everytime - the videos play more smoothly and have better quality for me, at the same resolution (480x320).
Guest AJV Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Many thanks guys, i'm using 'SUPER' (http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html) to convert to iphone format with 480x320 resolution and its working great, this way i'm hoping i can also put the same vids on the wife's ipod touch. if you try SUPER it has many formats, i had it sitting there from converting video for viewing on a nintendo ds but be warned it looks more complicated than it is and you need to click thru about 20 pages to download it.
Guest pulsem Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 I'm using "Any Video Converter Professional". The application has a conversion profile for the Pulse so there's no need to experiment (except if you want to try the other options).
Guest le_lutin Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Just to add my 2c. I use Handbrake and find it excellent (and free).
