How to change language in a single language rom?

Hello,

i'm really interested in this rom by daskalos, but I prefer roms in my mother language, german.

So is there any possibility to change the language of a rom afterwards?

If "yes", how to do? If "no" why not?

For my understanding as a total noob, i would unpack the rom, replace the language of the release with the one from the origin rom and repack the release.

But i guess it isn't as easy as i think, right? :P

No, you can't change your language after flashing a Single-Language-ROM...

I tried it (with daskalos first ROM - only english) because the possibility to change is still there in Samsung-Settings.

But if you change it, your Phone will reset and you have your original (the ROM installed before) back! (In your changed language)

About repacking the ROM with german files... I have no experience in cooking, but I don't think, that it is so easy to do :P

thanks for your answer, the changing-lang-after-flashing-and-having-the-old-os-back stuff I didn't know.

so the only chance is to change the language is to do it before flashing and than flash the german os.

I'm completly new to this multilang stuff, because flashing an htc, which i used before, is alsways single lang.

I have recognized, that the flashing procedure is a little bit different at different phones..

@ HTC the languge is included in the ROM

@ Eten you first have to flash your language to the bootloader to flash a ROM in same language

@ Samsung, you need a ROM, in which the language is included

( please correct me if I say something stupid )

And changing language before flashing would'nt cause an effect.. If you flash english on german, you get english. It's neccessary, that you flash a german or multilanguage ROM to get german (I think).

If there is another way to get it german, tell me!

i would appreciate if one of the rom developers could give me a hind where i have to start searching... is the language located in the CSC or the PDA part of the rom?
