If you have left settings at default google should have synced your contacts (you can check on your computer, just google "google contacts" and log in) I believe there is a back-up app that comes with the 1.7 custom rom "Titanium backup" you could backup your contacts / messages with that. It should survive a wipe. But yeah, you can wipe using the custom boot screen (Red and menu buttons) Don't ask me which option it is but I recall it is very clearly marked then just reflash the zip and you should be done :P

Exactly the same again. Download the ringdroid app from the market. Select your own tone and click save then select the use as notification tone. As for the keyboard, open anything with text input and press and hold on the text input box. Select input method and chose the stock android keyboard. I think the stock one is great but you could always try something more fun! Google swype and sign up for the beta! I love out and it's worth a try at least :P Hope this helps! Enjoy your new rom! You see I never had any problem with apps installing. Try rebooting your phone and try again.. Just turn off and on again. What exactly do you mean? Apps are downloading but not installing? Or you cant install your saved apps from your sd card? Sorry Edited March 29, 2010 by Azurren

Thanks anyway If you have setup your device to use apps to sd then you should know there is a know issue with it using the 1.7 custom rom. Every time you reboot your device you have to "fix" the partition every time.. There is a guide on these forums if you need it. i don't know if you have installed it or not. Just a heads up
Guest twe Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 Yeh I stopped using app2sd for this reason. Every couple of days I would need to repair the ext partition so restarted from scratch and left out the ext partition so that the apps installed onto the phone memory instead. Sorted this problem out and have not ran out of space on the phone for the things that I want it to have.

I may be just lucky but it seems I don't have the apps2sd issue u mentioned...I only have an ext3 of size 256mb and the rest is fat32 and apps instal without problems after reboot
