How to configure your SetCPU?

I found SetCPU may cause Liquid reboot frequently. When using its default setting (min:245,max:768), LCR-1.2.2/1.2.3/eclair-1.8.7/1.9 are all unstable according to my experience.

I am told that SetCPU can save battery, so ... What do you think about it? are you using it? and what is your configuration?

THX.

been using the basic setting (min:245,max:768) with set on boot and on-demand profile, but so far no reboot

and there's an option: powersaving, maybe you could give it a try

It is the same with mine exactly, but why my system is so unstable? Other software cause it? :P

No stability problems here with SetCPU. It's kind of obvious how to set it up.....do you really need to ask?

You choose liquid as your phone, then fill in the profiles - if you want to use them - and set CPU speeds for each being aware of what each is trying to achieve:

Low power? Go slower.

Charging? Charge faster by going slower.

Battery too hot? Slow down.

Actually using the phone right now with full battery? GO FAST.

You need people to tell you this? *sigh*.....

Also remember.....not much point slowing the CPU down if you run your screen at 100% brightness and have every wifi / GPS / bluetooth / 3G service running. There is more to battery than just CPU.

Did you wipe before flashing LCR v1.2.3?

Some people flash it over the top of the LiquidE bin without wiping...and then it WILL be very unstable. This was my experience.

You flash the LiquidE just to get the radio installed....then wipe the data and dalvik...and flash LCR.

Thank you for your advises. I need them, but they are not the cores of my question. I want to solve the problem of abnormal rebooting using with SetCPU - I guessed it is caused by SetCPU, maybe I am wrong - I did not want to write such a title "SetCPU makes my liquid crashed", because I am not able to ensure it is SetCPU's problem.

I flashed 1.2.3 over the top of 1.2.1.

Factory reset again. This time, I just installed SetCPU, Advanced task manager. 6 hours passed, everything is OK.

Hi, you might find this detailed guide posted here useful. I believe that it could have been better if there were more screenshots etc.

Can someone tell me what I need to do to just set the CPU higher for when playing intensive games like Angry Birds?

I don't want to set profiles, or what such..... i just want to leave it as standard, and then before I play, I up the CPU... is that possible?

Thanks

That seems like a really annoying type of thing to have to do before playing a game O.o
