Guest nant15 Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 I own nokia 5800 and plan to change to OmniaPRO (I like custom ROM!!!) but there is only one thing that i don't like about it is the video recording...the sound is so bad!!! Media Player classic shows this: Video: MPEG4 Video 720x480 Audio: AAC 16000Hz mono 256kbps [Audio] A Video file from 5800 is: Video: MPEG4 Video 640x352 Audio: AAC 48000Hz mono 768kbps [Audio] I just wondering that whether anyone has attempted to patch the video recording app to record sound using something like 44000Hz??? That would make Omnia Pro a perfect phone.
Guest sonyxperiax2 Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 Here u r. Goto HKCU/Software/Samsung/Camera I had to add to registry this DWORD AudioNormalCodec Results: value0 - 24,7kb/s (64kb/s), 32kHz, 2 channels, AAC (Version 4) (LC) (SBR/PS) value1 - 12,8kb/s, 8kHz, 1 channel, AMR (Narrow band) value2 - 14,0kb/s, 8kHz, 1 channel, QCELP value3 or 4 - video recording doesn't work at all A little better, but better than none! Note that improved audio will decrease a bit video quality..
